This spacious and charming center hall colonial was designed for gracious entertaining. Guests can head for a beautifully appointed formal dining room or a more casual “bar room” next door that leads to an expansive and verdant outdoor living area. The azure waters of the home’s large swimming pool beckon, as do inviting outdoor seating arrangements next to an outdoor kitchen. The stunning backyard is also visible from the home’s sunroom, which brings the outdoors inside year round.
A large stone fireplace is the focal point in the home’s airy conservatory. Eight double French doors crowned with Palladian windows flood the great room with light while a baby grand piano in one corner adds to the ambiance. Just outside the conservatory are a carriage house and an English garden whose pebbled pathways are lined with hedges, shrubs, and numerous colorful plants.
Five bedrooms can be seen upstairs, including the master bedroom suite with its roomy walk-in closet fully outfitted with custom cabinetry. A muted color scheme in the guest room offers a quiet refuge while the children’s bedrooms reflect their tastes and interests. Preppy pinks and greens brighten a teenage girl’s room, while a pirate motif
enlivens the boys’ room. Featuring delightful hand-painted scenes of pirate ships, treasure chests, and Caribbean islands, the oversized room easily accommodates two bunk beds. With lots of room for lounging and sleepovers with friends, this room offers the younger set numerous opportunities for entertaining.
